
Truck impounded for concealing a nuclear gauge

The Radiation Protection Authority -RPA- has impounded a truck that was concealing a nuclear gauge hidden under some bags of mealie meal in Livingstone.
Authority Chief Executive Officer BOSTER SIWILA says the driver of the truck, whose names have been withheld, is helping with investigations into the matter.
In an interview with ZNBC in Lusaka, Dr. SIWILA explained that a nuclear gauge is harmful when used by untrained hands.
Meanwhile, Dr. SIWILA has announced that the authority has strengthened its surveillance mechanism on the activity of scrap metal dealers who face the danger of exposing themselves to harmful radioactive waste
