About RPA
RPA is a statutory Body under the Ministry of Technology and Science established by the Government of the Republic of Zambia through an act of parliament No. 16 of 2005. Its main functions and powers are to provide for the protection of the public, patient and environment from hazards arising from the use of devices or materials capable of producing ionising radiation.

RPA is a statutory body under the Ministry of Health (MOH) established by the Government of the Republic of Zambia through an Act of parliament No.16 of 2005. Its main functions and powers are to provide for the protection of the public, patient and environment from hazards arising from the use of devices or materials capable of producing ionizing radiation.
RPA consist of the Radiation Protection Authority Board (RPAB) and the secretariat. The Board gives policy guidance and is appointed by the minister of health.
